Beginning this year, each Monday is being reserved for a Mass “For the People” or in Latin: “Pro Populo”.
As you may know, Archbishop Coyne is a liturgist, and Canon Law states that there should be one Mass a week for the people. Therefore, Mondays will not be open for an intention. Granted, most priests, including me, never pay attention to this. However, isn’t it spiritually comforting to know that a Mass is being offered for you and your intentions each week.
