A Message from Fr. Ron

Once again, please accept a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our Holy Week and Easter celebrations so very spiritual, satisfying, and beautiful. The liturgies for Holy Week were well attended and I thank those who attended Tenebrae on Good Friday evening, as well as Divine Mercy Sunday on April 16th. Both of those services were well attended, seeing that it was the first time.

Our website is up and going. You may wish to visit us at www.smceastwindsor.org to see other celebrations that are upcoming in the parish. We have a new webmaster. Mr. Brian Krisak who will monitor the website and post updates.

  • May crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Statue will take place on May 7, 2023 at 2 p.m.in the cemetery.
  • A Memorial Day Mass, in the cemetery will take place on May 29, 2023 at 8:30 am with a wreath laying ceremony after Mass.
  • Per request of the Archbishop, there will be a Corpus Christi procession with the Blessed Sacrament on June 11th. After the procession on Corpus Christi there will be a strawberry short cake social in St. Philip Hall. Our strawberries will come from Peter Starvish’s farm. Where can you go to get fresh strawberries like this?? As they would say in the 1950’s “be there or be square!”

In January we bid goodbye to our office administrator Theresa Jablow and our bookkeeper, Lori Kedzior. Karen Germain is our temporary office administrator/bookkeeper until we hire someone permanent.

In March we bid farewell to our custodian/maintenance man Gary Miller. We commend these three for their fine, diligent work and wish them well in their future endeavors. Mr. Mark Stoecker is our new custodian/maintenance man.

On June 1, 2023 we will bid farewell to Jan Albetski as Pastoral Minister and CRE (coordinator of Religious Education). While the Pastoral Minister position will not be replaced, the CRE position will be replaced to ensure that the C.C.D. program will continue. Last, but not least, first Holy Communion we’ll take place on May 7, 2023 at the 10:30 am Mass. Please pray for our first Holy Communion Class.

Sincerely,

Fr. Ron
