Faith Formation Vision: That parents and children be life-long learners as followers of Christ, that they grow to know God and experience His love through prayer, reflection on scripture, the sacraments and as stewards of his Spirit.
What Does This Mean for Us as a Faith Community? Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He told the Apostles to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded (Mt 28:19-20).” This is our call too, as a faith community, to teach others about Christ and His message. To that end, the success of the Faith Formation Program will depend upon the time and talent of all community members.
Faith Formation Program Components:
- Worship: Encourage families to attend Mass at St. Phillip Church at 10:30 AM after the bi-weekly classes from late September through late April/early May.
- Classroom: The Gospel Weeklies (Gr preK-8) and Decision Point (Gr 9) curricula supplemented by sacrament preparation for Gr 3 and 9 with associated activities.
- Special Community Activities: Opportunities to celebrate with the Parish as a whole, special events throughout the year as well as participate in group service projects as a faith community.
2024/25 Class Time Change
