Corpus Christi Procession and Shortcake Social
- 11:00am
- St. Philip Church
The Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ is June 2,2024 this year. In light of our Eucharistic Revival (2022-2025) we will have a
procession with the Eucharist after the 10:30 am Mass. In much the same way as last year, we will process to four altars; three of which will be outside. The four altars represent the Eucharistic Christ and the message of the Gospel going to the “four corners of the earth.” We are delighted to have the Brothers from the Legionaries of Christ attending the 10:30 am Mass to help us celebrate the beautiful Feast Day of the Body and Blood of Christ. You should be in attendance, too. Last year we had 70 faithful parishioners in the procession, which was televised by our Archdiocesan television network. This year, may we gather 10 more to make it an even 80. Many, many blessings are received by adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
In “fellowship” fashion we will gather after Mass in St. Philip Hall for our annual “Strawberry Short Cake Social”. What a wonderful way to end our Corpus Christi celebration, with seminarians, studying for the priesthood and excellent parish community.
