The shortage of priests in the Archdiocese remains
with us. I write to inform you that for two
weeks I will be celebrating Mass in Spanish at St.
Mary Church in New Britain, CT so that their
pastor, Fr. Israel Riviera will be able to visit his
family in Columbia. No Spanish priests were
available to help him as they are all assigned. I
have arranged for one of our retired priests to celebrate
Mass for you at 10:30 am on June 25th and
July 2nd. We are at a point now where we priests
have to make accommodations to help each other.
Fr. Will Metzler will celebrate the 10:30 am Mass
on both dates. Fr. Metzler was the Pastor at St.
Mary Church in Simsbury, CT.
